Back to Back First Due Fires | Center St. | Solvay

Around 05:30 this morning Solvay volunteers responded to our second in district working fire of the night, this time on Center St. Engine 11's in house crew arrived within minutes, rescuing one trapped occupant from a second floor window while the second team began stretching a line to extinguish the fire. The fire was seated on the first floor, extended to the second floor, and dropped down to the basement. Crews from our neighboring metro west area departments, Fairmount and Taunton, assisted our crews with extinguishment, conducting searches, and overhaul. Our District was covered by Liverpool and Baldwinsville fire departments while units operated on scene. All units cleared in about 2.5 hours.
