Passing of Past Fire Chief David M. Bosco

It is with profound sadness that the officers and members of the Solvay Fire Department announce the passing of Past Chief David M. Bosco. Chief Bosco was not only a life member of our organization but a mentor and brother fireman that has left a lasting impression on the organization and those he served with. Dave had served in various roles throughout his service with the department including Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief, and Chief of the department. In addition to volunteering with our department, Chief Bosco worked for the Village of Solvay Electric Department as a lineman and was a loving husband and father.

Chief Bosco passed away this morning at home surrounded by his family and loved ones after a several month battle with cancer. Please keep his family, friends, and our department in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through these tough times.
